Selling a house in Hornchurch isn't just about adding a listing online and hoping for the best. We're Lux Homes, your local estate agents in Hornchurch. We think every home deserves to be shown properly. A good photo, the right words, how you present it - all affects who shows interest and how quick your property sells.
Our Hornchurch office opened back in 2016. Since then we've helped hundreds of people move home across the area. Sellers, buyers, landlords, tenants - they all come to us for help. We've been doing this for years now and we know the local streets, the schools, what buyers are looking for. That's why we keep getting good results.
Hornchurch has stayed a popular place to live. Families like it here. Commuters do too because there's good schools, plenty of green parks, and it's easy access into London. Lots of people who move here end up staying. Homes don't stay on the market long so sellers are often in a strong position. Our job as trusted estate agents in Hornchurch is making sure you get the best outcome.
At Lux Homes we know that getting a sale isn't about luck. It's doing the right things carefully. Good photos, clear adverts, and fair but strong negotiation matter. We use plain and honest marketing so buyers trust what they see.
Every home is different so we don't follow a fixed plan. We make a plan that fits your property. Our team already has a big list of buyers looking around Hornchurch, Emerson Park, Ardleigh Green and other nearby areas. Before your home goes up for sale we'll go through what needs doing to make it look its best. Sometimes it's small changes that make the first impression stronger.
If you want to find out what your home might be worth, call 01708 983444 or come to our office at 117 High Street, Hornchurch, RM11 1TX. You can book a free valuation with one of our team. There's no pressure, no fee, just honest advice.
Buying a home can feel exciting but also confusing sometimes. We like to keep things straight and simple. First we listen. We learn what you want, what matters to you, what budget you're happy with. Then we help you find something that feels right.

Is Hornchurch in London or Essex?
That one comes up all the time. Technically it's classed as London, because it comes under the London Borough of Havering and was incorporated into Greater London in 1965 when the London Government Act 1963 came into effect. Still, ask anyone round here and they'll probably tell you it's Essex, and it still feels that way as you get that quieter, more down-to-earth vibe. The roads aren't too busy and there's more green areas.
What's Hornchurch like to live in?
It's a nice place to settle. Busy enough to keep things interesting but not too loud. The High Street's got plenty going on with coffee shops, barbers, restaurants, a few pubs if you fancy a pint. On weekends people are out walking in Harrow Lodge Park or over Hornchurch Country Park. There's a good community feel, you see familiar faces often. Schools have solid reputations and getting into London's pretty easy too. A lot of families come here and end up staying put.

What types of homes are in Hornchurch?
You'll see a bit of everything really. Some streets have those older Victorian terraces and then a few roads down you get the 1930s semis everyone loves. There's newer flats near the station, modern houses with open layouts, even a few new builds tucked away off the main roads. Some areas feel quiet, others closer to the shops and schools. So whatever you're after you'll probably find something that fits.

Prices jump around a bit depending where and what it is. The average is roughly £500,000 give or take. Detached homes can push close to £850,000 while semis are more like £470,000. Terraced houses sit around £415,000 and flats go near £270,000. If you're close to the station or a decent school it tends to move quicker. If you're wondering about your own place we can pop by and give you a free valuation.

Good ones don't stay empty long, people snap them up. We help landlords find decent tenants and make sure tenants get somewhere clean and fair. Simple as that.
